Making it work

Today I got the news that La Sgambeda is cancelled. I came to Livigno on Tuesday, with Rikard, Oskar, Jimmie, David and Erik, and was really looking forward to get some good training and have the last details on place to start up the season for real. But, as it’s been the last month and a half, it’s “make it work” time. New plans have to be made.

Last Sunday I competed 10 km classic in Gällivare, Sweden, and had some troubles with the technic. I have been trying to improve big parts of my classic skiing and have struggled throughout the summer and fall trying to get a new movement schedule. In Gällivare we had somewhat difficult conditions and I didn’t quite get it right.

Now, in Livigno, with no La Sgambada coming up I still have a great opportunity to get a better timing and flow in my classic skiing. The snow conditions is of course not too good, but we have a 2,4 km track, fantastic accommodation and nothing else to do but concentrate on training and recovering.  Depending on the upcoming weather forecast it is also possible to move and train in other valleys.

I still hope to compete at the end of next week – at home in Sweden or here in central Europe.
