TEAM EXSPIRIT consists of 8 of the world´s best long distance skiers. The skiers are Oskar Svärd, Mathias Fredriksson, Rikard Andréasson, Anton Sjöholm, Jimmie Johnsson, Susanne Nyström, Jenny Hansson and Seraina Boner. With the clear goal to be and maintain its role as the world leading team in long distance x-country skiing.

In order to reach success and be victorious in long distance skiing, the skiers need EXperience, and to win in an event with 15000 participants you need to perform EXtraordinary compared to all the other skiers. The ski races in long distance skiing all take place in EXotic landscape surroundings around winter Europe. Finally a victorious team will be based upon team spirit among the members, hence the name TEAM EXSPIRIT.

Long distance skiing has been on the rise for the last years with increased number of participants in the races as well as a strongly increased media interest. The development of the live TV productions and the events being broadcasted on major TV channels around Europe is also a great opportunity for the partners of TEAM EXSPIRIT.

The team will the second season of 2011/2012 consist of skiers all from Sweden. Sweden is together with Norway, Czech Republic and Italy the leading countries within long distance x-country skiing. Norway already have a couple of teams, one development around the Aukland brothers, Team Xtra Personell and one around Thomas Alsgaard and Jörgen Brink, Team United Bakeries. Czech Republic has a team built around their star Stanislav Rezac and Italy has a military based team with members such as Fabio Santus and Marco Cattaneo. TEAM EXSPIRIT is the first professional team in Sweden. However the team will in the future also welcome skiers with other nationalities sharing our values and targets.

TEAM EXSPIRIT are formed around values of professionalism and fair play in an environmental friendly way. Being clean from doping and behaving professional in the way we behave against each other and towards competitors and partners is natural. Climate change is a great threat to winter sports relying on natural snow, for TEAM EXSPIRIT it is therefore of most interest for us to take our part of the responsibility for the future of cross country skiing.

Come with us and Exspirit the Planet!
